UK Shared Prosperity Fund

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a three year £2.6 billion UK-wide fund to be delivered until March 2025. The primary goal of the UKSPF is to build pride in place and increase life chances across the UK.

Underneath this overarching aim, there are three investment priorities:

  • Community and Place
  • Supporting Local Business
  • People and Skills

There is also an allocation of funding for the UK-wide Multiply programme which is intended to improve adult numeracy skills.

Dumfries and Galloway Council has been allocated over £6.7m to invest in local projects until March 2025. The breakdown of the allocation is shown in the table below:

The investment plan submitted to the UK Government last August has now been approved:

Dumfries and Galloway Council's Economy and Resources Committee agreed to proposals for the delivery of the funding during 2022/23 in January. We are now working on delivery of the proposals and further information will be available here as details are finalised.
