SAC Stretch Aims
Every Local Authority in Scotland was required to create and submit a package of aspirational 'stretch aims' for specific core measures as determined by Scottish Government along with a set of 'Core Plus' measures decided by each local authority.
This was carried out as part of the renewed Scottish Attainment Challenge initiative that was launched in March 2022.
The accompanying tables show the Dumfries and Galloway response to the requirements of this process. These aspirational figures and values have been arrived at through scrutiny of a range of existing data and consultation involving teacher judgements and input from a representative group of Headteachers, local authority officers and Education Scotland Attainment Advisors.
