Tickets will be on sale throughout the month of June from your local library.

GO WILD IN THE LIBRARY

Are you wild about wildlife?  If so, then Georgetown and Stranraer Libraries could be the place for you! Visitors to the libraries during July are likely to encounter a range of unusual animals - with snails slithering into the activities room as well as opportunities to stroke a snake or go eye-to-eye with lots of creepie crawlies.

The libraries are hosting two special Zoolabs which aim to bring environmental studies to life through hands on sessions with animals.

African Snail

The Wriggley Road Show, for ages 3-6, will feature a giant African snail as well as snakes, a millipede, toad, rabbit and a rat. The How Our Bodies Move workshop, for ages 7-11, will feature worms, snails, spider, snakes, a caterpillar, rabbit and a toad.  The workshop offers a voyage of discovery around the human body and is an interactive session with some animal handling. Toad

In Georgetown, the workshops will take place on Wednesday 16 July.  The Wriggley Road Show will take place from 10.00 to 11.00 and The How Our Bodies Move workshop will take place from 11.10-12.10.
