Open Data

Dumfries and Galloway Council is committed to public engagement, transparency and accountability. In doing so, we are releasing our data in an 'open' format.

"Open data is data that can be freely used, shared and built-on by anyone, anywhere for any purpose" - Open Knowledge Foundation

Transparency is key, by releasing data that aids us in decision making, helps us to deliver our services and is used to monitor our performance, we will allow the public to become more engaged, empowered and influence how the Council operates.
