UKSPF Local Place Plans Grant Scheme

Dumfries and Galloway Council's Local Place Plans Grant Scheme has received funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The aim is to provide grant funding to community led organisations who are in the process of developing a Local Place Plan. The purpose of the fund is to support the development of place plans with a small grant of up to £2000.

Local Place Plans (LPPs) offer communities the opportunity to produce a plan for their area expressing their aspirations and ambitions for future change. Local Place Plans are produced by the community, the Council and its partners will be available to provide support, advice and guidance. The Council's Local Place Team will discuss the level of support your group requires when they meet to discuss your communities aspirations and ambitions. Local Place Plans focus on the community's proposals for the development and use of land and provide a new opportunity for community's to feed into the planning system with ideas and proposals.

Funding must be used towards activities which support community-led Local Place Plan development, for example:

  • Community Consultation and Engagement costs.
  • Facilitation costs.
  • Design and Printing costs.
  • Other costs associated with developing your Local Place Plan.

You must have your Expression of Interest received and acknowledge by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
