Council budget 2021/22
Dumfries and Galloway's budget for local services remains under substantial pressure. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on our services has added another layer of complexity to the decision-making process ahead of us on 4 March when the Full Council meets to set our budget.
What happens next?
Your Council will set its budget and Council Tax level for 2021/22 at the meeting of Dumfries and Galloway Council on Thursday 4 March 2021.
Before then, political groups have used your feedback as well as information about our council services to draft budget proposals from their political group.
The budget proposals that will be considered on Thursday 4 March are as below:
An impact assessment is a tool that helps us to check whether our policies and practices are fair and inclusive. We assess whether the decisions we make are likely to impact on different groups of people across the region. The process aims to improve services for all of the people in Dumfries and Galloway.
