School Holiday Food Fund Programme
Holiday Food Funding 2020 - Open for Applications for Mid Term (February 2020) and Easter Holidays 2020 (April 2020).
Following on from the successful delivery of the October 2019 & Christmas 2019 Holiday Food Fund Programme, Dumfries and Galloway Council are now opening the application process for any third sector organisations (subject to meeting the criteria of the fund) who wish to apply for funding to deliver Holiday Food Fund Projects over the Mid Term Holiday Period which this year is from Monday 17 February 2020 until Friday 21 February 2020 and again for the Easter Holiday Period which is from Monday 6 April 2020 to Friday 17 April 2020 .
This funding is available for the food costs for Holiday Food Fund Programmes for Primary 1 to S6 pupils. We will fund 1 meal per day per child/young person at £1.95 per lunch.
The closing date for this round of the Holiday Food Programme is midnight on Wednesday 29 January 2020. Successful applicants will be informed by Monday 3 February 2020. Late applications will not be considered.
When will you receive your funding?
Successful applications will receive payment in advance of the Holiday Food Fund programme starting. Payment will be made in early February 2020.
Once an application has been considered, the decision of the scoring panel is final and the application will not be considered again. All organisations must have appropriate safeguarding arrangements and food handling procedures in place. There is no appeals process but we try to give comprehensive feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
If your funding application is successful, you will be required to sign a form to state that you accept our award conditions before we make any payment to you.
For assistance in completing your application form please refer to the guidance notes below.
On completion of the form you can either email or post your application to us at the details at the end of the form. Note you must sign and print off the Declaration Page (Section 6) and scan or post this to us at the address on the form.
- If you are completing the form manually please use black ink.
- If you wish to enclose information to support your application, please do not send originals unless you have to.
- Please note incomplete applications will not be considered by the scoring panel.
Please ensure you answer all the questions and the required documentation is submitted with the application to avoid disappointment. There is considerable advice for applicants on our Guidance Form and from Third Sector, Dumfries & Galloway.
