Tackling Holiday Hunger - Holiday activities taking place throughout the region.

As part of our on-going work to tackle poverty our Council have organised a huge range of activities for Children and young people which are available throughout the region.

Taking place over each week of the summer holidays our range of activities will provide children and young people the opportunity to have fun, get free healthy meals and snacks and keep in touch with their friends.

Each event provides free breakfasts, lunches or dinner depending on the time of day in which it is held, so don't worry about bringing anything along - everything is all provided for you.

Councillor Andy Ferguson, Chair of Dumfries and Galloway Council's Communities Committee stated;

We look after all of our children and young people during each school day and we are extending this to providing a range of free, fun activities which everyone can attend throughout our region all through our long summer holidays. These events have been specifically designed to be as fun as possible and offer families the chance to spend time together and for children and young people to meet with their friends at. These will be a great way to spend a day
