Important changes to the charging for personal care for people under 65

Personal care for the under 65s will no longer be charged for.

From 1 April 2019, the Scottish Government have amended the Community Care Act 2002. This is also known as 'Frank's Law'.

This means that if you are under 65 and you receive personal care you will no longer be charged for this. If you receive non-personal care and you are currently charged, then this will continue.

Your next bill will explain any charges that you may still have.
