We know that there are a large number of people who are struggling due to the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the end of the Furlough Scheme and the reduction in the Universal Credit Payments. We also know that anyone in debt will be struggling to escape from the downward spiral which they find themselves in. In Work Poverty is also on the rise and we understand that even if your household has two forms of income, it may not be enough to cover all of your costs. If you are struggling in anyway, please make that decision to reach out for help.

Within our Region, there are dedicated organisations who are ready to help you and with one phone call you can reach Advisors who will listen to and support you - you literally can improve your life just by making that one initial call or by sending that e-mail. Dumfries and Galloway Council have a range of Financial Wellbeing Services Teams and all details on each of the Teams along with the contact numbers & e-mail addresses for each are included within the Factsheet attached to this page. Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service also deliver a wide range of Welfare and Benefits and Debt Advice Services and their Teams details, the support offered and the contact numbers and e-mail addresses for each are also available within their Factsheet attached to this page.

Please take the time to read through the information and watch the video's which highlight the work of the Teams who are ready to help you - imagine the difference to your life knowing that you are receiving free confidential, help, advice and support from Teams who care about making your life better.
