Notice is hereby given that Dumfries and Galloway Council in exercise of their powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers enabling them in that behalf have made an Order to temporarily close the C27s on Tuesday 10 August and Wednesday 11 August, 2010, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 hours.

The closure will be located from the B793 for 130m towards Fairgirth.

The closure will only be in force when identified by means of appropriate traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.

The closure is necessary to facilitate essential resurfacing works.

Alternate Routes : A710 and B793

Vehicular access will be maintained to any properties within the closed section of road, as far as is practicable during the works.

Pedestrian access will be maintained where practicable.
