Kirkcudbright Primary School is a brand new school serving Kirkcudbright and the surrounding area with a combined catchment of the former Castledykes and Johnston Primaries. These two schools merged in February 2010.

Our school is a bright and spacious building with a large games hall/dining room, fully equipped ICT Suite/Library, Quiet Room, Pupil Support Room and Community Room.

Outside we have a lovely Outdoor Classroom, Friendship Bench, Multi Use Games Area and plenty of space to play.

Visiting specialists have input on a weekly basis for Art, Music and Physical Education.

We have a number of after school clubs which change on a termly basis.
