The Annan Regeneration Steering Group has been set up to help economic development in Annan. There are a range of members, from Community groups and local businesses to local Councillors supported by Council Officers.

The aims of the Annan Regeneration Steering Group are:

• To be an active forum for community and business development for the next 15-20 years.
• To provide a forum for businesses and the local community to become involved in the future of the Town.
• To ensure the delivery of the Annan Masterplan by providing a strategic vision and co coordinating the delivery of a five year Action Plan.

Steering group meeting dates

The Annan Regeneration Steering Group meets quarterly and the dates of future meetings are set out below. It meets in Annan Town Hall. Annan Masterplan / Annan regeneration projects

The Annan Masterplan was put together following extensive community engagement. The resulting plan indentifies a number of key projects which are achievable in the short term (next five years), medium (five to ten years) and long term (15 years +) its aim is to ensure that Annan has a sustainably and vibrant future. The objectives of the plan are:

• Maximise the economic potential of Annan
• Secure sustainable economic development and employment opportunities
• Develop the profile of Annan
• Integrate enterprise, housing, commerce and leisure
• Identify development sites in locations that maximise economic impact

The Masterplan was underpinned by extensive community consultation. One of the roles of the Annan Regeneration Steering group is to ensure that the engagement with the people and businesses of Annan continues through the delivery phase.
