Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain's only Scottish stage reaches its climax at the World Famous Blacksmiths Shop in Gretna Green on Monday 14 September. Watch worldclass professional riders sprinting for glory after almost 4 hours of hard-fought, tactical riding over the hills from Peebles.

Located just off the M74 motorway on the Scotland-England border it will be the perfect spot to take in of one of Britain's biggest and most colourful sporting events.

There's a lot more to Gretna Green than runaway marriages on 14 September, when the Tour of Britain sweeps into town. To celebrate the finish of the 3rd, and only Scottish, stage of the Tour of Britain there will be a host of cycling related activities and entertainment including youtube wonder boy, Danny Macaskill and captivating, rib-tickling street theatre from the renowned Syrovy. It's all part of the build-up to the final sprint for the finish line, outside the World Famous Blacksmiths Shop in Gretna Green when the stars of road-racing make their explosive last dash for glory. Come and enjoy a great day out for the whole family.

Tour spectators are requested to arrive at the World Famous Blacksmiths Shop and Visitor Centre by 1pm.
