There are cleaner, greener alternatives to disposable nappies! Over 450 tonnes of disposable nappies are thrown away every year in the region and it could be hundreds of years before the waste breaks down. Using real nappies could save you money too.

The Dumfries and Galloway Real Nappy Project is helping to raise awareness of the real nappy options by providing information, offering lending buckets, and a cashback offer towards the purchase of real nappies.

Real nappies come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Safety pins and complicated folding are no longer necessary! Today's real nappies have adjustable fasteners such as poppers or Velcro. Some real nappies have liners included and others are all-in-ones.
