There are 11 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) in Dumfries and Galloway and provide recycling and recovery for a large range of household materials.

Site regulations

• Please note, members of the public are not allowed access to the Household Waste Recycling Centres while heavy goods vehicles and mobile plant are in operation at the sites.  To ensure safe operations of the sites you may be asked to wait at the entrance for short periods while containers are serviced.
• Household Waste Recycling Centres are for household waste only and are not licensed to accept waste generated from any commercial or industrial activity.

Know before you go

Please empty all food and drink from fridges and freezers before bringing fridges and freezers to the household waste recycling centres.
