Household Waste Recycling Centres and Points are available at various locations across the region allowing householders to sort household waste items. In Dumfries and Galloway there are 11 Household Waste Recycling Centres and over 40 Recycling Points.

Recycling Centres
There are 11 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) in Dumfries and Galloway for householders to use which provide recycling, composting and recovery for a large range of household materials.

Recycling Points
There are over 40 Recycling Points, for example in car parks at supermarkets and village halls, for household recycling across Dumfries and Galloway which are operated by Shanks Dumfries and Galloway on behalf of the Council. These are available to help householders recycle resources and divert them from landfill.
