The school building was opened on 5 October 1981 and comprises four units opening off a central, general-purpose hall. Three of the units have three bases, a wet area and pupil toilets while the fourth houses the administration, medical and staff accommodation plus a general-purpose classroom used primarily for music and drama.

In August 2003 a large children's centre, comprising a nursery, two classrooms and a Learning Centre, with a spa pool, was completed. The nursery can take 100 children and has a secure play area. The Learning Centre has a sensory room and also has access to a secure play area. The school also has community facilities, a family room, an interview room and a community room. The community room has computer access.
