A number of structural surveys have been carried out on domestic and commercial properties across Dumfries and Galloway.
Recent works include:
Rae Street, Dumfries. This is a Victorian Primary School used as office accommodation where an inspection and assessment demonstrated that floors were severely overstressed.
8 Gordon Street, Dumfries. This is a Victorian House used as office accommodation. An investigation and assessment of the floors showed that additional support was required.
The Grapes, Whithorn. A full structural survey was carried out on this Council owned derelict pub to allay health and safety fears.
Bridge House, Annan. Structural survey of gable requested by Building Control prior to possibly serving a Dangerous Buildings Notice.
Gutcher's Isle. A structural survey was carried out on this historic ruin for Solway Heritage.
17 Queen Street, Dumfries. Prior to and after demolition of Nos 9-15 Queen Street structural surveys were carried out for the owner of adjacent property No 17.
Stapleton Road Depot, Annan. Inspection and assessment of concrete floors prior to installation of fire proof safes.
Lockerbie Scout Hall. Structural survey due to concerns about structural integrity.
7 St Mary Street. Structural survey and recommendations followed by bracing design on removal of roof.
