In 2002 there was a need to create a 380m extension to the existing Industrial Estate Road at Blackparks in Stranraer.

80m of road was constructed on a deep peat area using reinforced grid and designed embankment fill. 4 culverts were included as part of associated flood relief works. The extension also made use of Suds Drainage.
