You can view the latest HMIe inspection report for Dumfries High School which is designed to show how well children are being educated and to help the school to improve.
We offer a wide range of courses for pupils and students of all abilities. The school has many superb facilities including a sports centre, music suite and excellent computer rooms.
Dumfries High also offers a wide range of extra curricular activities including football, hockey, rugby, mountaineering, sailing, golf, drama, music, writing and history. Every 2 years a major musical school show is staged.
We encourage the use of school trips to support learning. Destinations include York, New York, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paris, Milan and the Swiss Alps.
You can now pay online for items such as School trips and School Lunches at Dumfries High School. This provides an easier, safer and more efficient method of getting money to the school. It eliminates the need for pupils to carry cash and provides the parent with a record of the receipt of money into the school. It also ensures that, for lunch payments, the money can only be spent in the school.
Parents/Guardians will have already received letters describing the system in more detail.
