Path Development Projects
The Countryside Access Team is continuously developing the network of paths throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
Every year the Team works on a number of priority projects which are supported by the Area Committees and the Planning, Housing and Environment Committee. The projects the team work on are supplied by the local communities, community groups, community councils or individuals.
Each project is assessed and if the path provides suitable access for the local community then it is developed. We work closely with land-managers to ensure that the installation of paths meets a high standard.
