This elevated site overlooks the historic town of Kirkcudbright providing panoramic views of the Solway Coast, Ross Island and the Twynholm Hills and is sheltered on the eastern side by hill and woodlands.

The site can accommodate pitches for 37 caravans and 13 tents. Electric hook-ups are available. Laundry facilities are available on site. At the lower end of the site is Hope Dunbar Park, a children's play area. Sandy beaches at the Dhoon and Brighouse Bay are just a few miles away.

In the town of Kirkcudbright, famous as an artists' colony, you can visit the local museum, art galleries, swimming pool, tennis courts, golf, bowling and wildlife park as well as enjoying the extensive programme of local summer festivities.
