Structure Plan

The Structure Plan provides the high level vision for Dumfries and Galloway. Approved in 1999 and covering the whole region. It is a strategic document which sets the context for the more detailed Local Plans.

The Sructure Plan (along with the four Local Plans) is due to be replaced by a single New Local Development Plan but will continue to be valid until the new Plan is adopted. The pdf icon Development Plan Scheme [3Mb] sets out the proposed timetable for the adoption of the new Plan.
