Gracefield Arts Centre

Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries is an art gallery which houses a collection of over 400 Scottish paintings and holds a changing programme of contemporary exhibitions featuring regional, national and international artists and craftmakers.

Exhibitions, events, workshops and children's activities

A wide range of art and craft activities for adults and children run throughout the year at the gallery.

Mailing List

To try to be as cost effective as possible Gracefield Arts Centre and Nithsdale Museums manage a combined mailing list.

To join our mailing list and be the first to receive information about exhibitions, events and family activities at Gracefield Arts Centre and/or Nithsdale Museums please complete an on-line complete the mailing list registration form.

We also hope to send as much information as possible by e-mail and we would ask that you choose this option from the mailing list registration form if at all possible.

Facilities

Facilities at the arts centre include a craft shop, cafe, printmakers workshop and studio. Meeting rooms are also available for hire including two large studio rooms available to hire for lectures, art and craft activities, hospitality events and community activities. Room hire rates begin at £5.60 per hour.

Schools, other groups and clubs are welcome to bring groups to Gracefield during regular opening hours and can pre-book to visit on a Monday. Staff can offer informal guided tours on request, and where diary space permits, can offer workshop space for art activities.

Exhibitions: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm

Craft Shop: Tuesday - Friday, 10.30 am – 3.30pm and Saturday, 10am - 5pm

Café: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm, lunches 12 noon - 3pm

Printmaking Studio: Monday - Saturday, 10am-5pm and evenings depending on studio diary.
