The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is a pension scheme for local government workers with a pension payable at retirement based on length of membership and final pay.

You can calculate your current and future pension, lump sum and certain death benefits by entering some basic information about your circumstances in to the Pension Calculator.

The Pension Fund

  • Your benefits are not affected by the performance of the Pension Fund.
  • The value of the Fund may go up or down.
  • The Local Government Pension Scheme is a Statutory Scheme with benefits defined in law.
