Bus Passes for Older People

From 1st April 2006 a New National Entitlement Card giving you access to the Scotland-Wide free bus scheme was introduced.

To be eligible for a NEC the applicant must be aged over 60 and resident in the area.

This new card gives people aged over 60 and disabled people access to free travel anywhere in Scotland (and to/from Carlisle) on local buses and long distance scheduled coaches at any time of the day.
