Cutting of grass on public land within the local authority area.

The grounds maintenance operation on Council-owned land within Dumfries and Galloway is the responsibility of DGFirst.

All parks, burial grounds and open spaces which are managed by the Council, housing associations (but not DGHP which has its own private contractor to carry out work on their land) and privately owned businesses.

This work includes grass cutting, hedges, shrub beds, flower beds and rose beds, verge cutting in towns, etc.
