Street sweeping and litter removal, including the provision and emptying of litter and dog waste bins, is the responsibility of the Land and Street Services section of DGFirst.

Streets, parks, car parks and other public areas are included in a cleansing programme to regularly remove litter, build up of leaves or any other conditions which could pose a risk to public health and safety.

All street and gully cleaning is done on a recurring basis and this is zoned into areas with areas having different frequencies depending upon location. Local offices will be able to advise of frequency within any area.
