The Council provides help and advice on drainage and may arrange for the clearance of blocked drains.

For those grass areas maintained and managed by the Council. DGFirst can evaluate any problems with surface water flooding if requested.

DGFirst also maintains public road drainage. Inspections are carried out on a regular basis which includes gullies, piped drains, french drains, roadside ditches and grips, manholes and catchpits.

Roads which are not adopted by the Council may be maintained by housing associations or private landowners.
