• Abandoned Vehicles
  The Council will deal with any vehicles reported as abandoned on local roads or property. The vehicle will be removed if it is causing a public nuisance, is untaxed or if has not been removed by the owner after a specified length of time after a notice of removal has been placed on the vehicle.

• Dog Fouling
  The Council actively encourage members of the public to act responsibly and dispose of their dog waste in the bins provided or alternatively in a waste bin. Community Safety Officers are authorised to issue fixed penalty notices for fouling offences.

• Flytipping
  Flytipping is the illegal dumping of rubbish, old furniture, and so on, onto land that is not supposed to be used for that purpose. The Council has responsibility for acting on reports of flytipping to both remove the waste and to locate and prosecute the offenders.

  Dropping litter is unsightly, unpleasant and is an environmental crime! Many people regard the spoiling of our towns and countryside with litter as antisocial behaviour. The Council and partners, including Police Scotland and Civic Pride, are determined to stamp this out by improving services, education and enforcement.
