The talking toys will take you and the children in your group on an adventure tour around Dumfries Museum, including the windmill tower. On your way around they will tell the children about their favourite things in the museum.
At the end of the tour there are colouring sheets and puzzles to expand on the themes of the tour.
Tours are normally available to museum visitors of all ages.
If you are coming with a large group please phone 01387 253374 to let us know.
The toys live in a magnificent timber sea chest kept in the foyer of Dumfries Museum.
The chest was made by local craftsman Matthew White, of Craigieburn Farm near Moffat. The timber is Scots Pine from a huge tree that had been growing on the farm for centuries, but as the banks of a river eroded the tree fell in.
Raked auditorium with seating for 69.
Multi screen projection facilities and lectern.
