Under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, applications have a minimum consultation period of 21 days to allow for any objections to be received. Applications can then be considered and processed. Civic Government licences are not transferable. You will need to re-apply in your own/your company name.
The Licensing Board considers applications, and then grants or refuses applications for licences for such things as selling or supplying alcohol and operating gambling premises. Licensing Board fees are set by the Scottish Government. Civic Government fees are set by the Council and reviewed annually. They are set to meet the costs of administering the Service.
