NOTICE is hereby given that the four Divisional Licensing Boards within Dumfries and Galloway (comprising the Annandale and Eskdale Divisional Licensing Board; the Nithsdale Divisional Licensing Board; the Stewartry Divisional Licensing Board and the Wigtown Divisional Licensing Board) intend to publish their Statement of Principles in terms of the Gambling Act 2005 and the Gambling Act 2005 (Licensing Authority Policy Statement) (Scotland) Regulations 2006.
The Statement outlines the principles which the Boards propose to apply in exercising their functions under the Gambling Act 2005.
The Statement of Principles will be published from 28 December 2012 until it comes into effect on 31 January 2013.
The Boards will publish the Statement of Principles on Dumfries and Galloway Council's website:

The Dumfries and Galloway Local Authority Area is divided into 4 Divisions - Annandale and Eskdale, Nithsdale, Stewartry and Wigtown. Each Division has its own Board made up of local authority Councillors and supported by the Clerk and administrative staff from the Council.

The Boards are under a duty to publish a
Statement of Licensing Policy [146kb] and
Statement of Principles under the Gambling Act 2005 [262kb], reviewed on a three yearly basis, that offer guidance and clarity on the policy on which the Board will base its decisions.
