Lochrutton Primary School serves the small village of Lochfoot and surrounding rural area. Lochfoot lies close to the A75 between the main towns of Dumfries and Castle Douglas. The school is partnered with Springholm Primary School and Hardgate Primary School.

Further Information

The present building is on the site of the original school and was opened in 1966.  Surrounding the school is a tarmac play area with benches and games, a large playing field and a garden maintained by the pupils.

We also have a successful Parent and Toddler Group which runs every Wednesday afternoon 1.30-3.00pm.
