Libraries, Information and Archives provides a range of services and resources for children and young people from birth upwards and also to local schools. These include Storytimes, Bookbug Sessions (formerly known as Rhymetimes), Sure Start and Bookbug's Library Challenge. The Schools Library Service provides a Project Loan Service as well as advice and support.

Dumfries and Galloway Libraries offer a free service for Nursing and Residential Homes for the elderly throughout the region. We can provide a collection of library stock which will be located in the Home for the residents to use. The stock will be changed at least three times a year.
