Glasgow 2014 - Celebrating Local Successes and Contributions

Dumfries and Galloway Council will be organising an official event to recognise the successes and contributions from all those who were involved in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games from our region.

We need your help to make this happen.

Whether you were taking part in the games as an athlete, coach, official or volunteer, we want to hear from you.

One of the main success stories of the entire games was the fantastic Clydesiders and other volunteers.

Council Leader Ronnie Nicholson said; "We were delighted that so many people from Dumfries and Galloway put their name forward to volunteer at the games. The volunteers made a huge contribution to the overwhelming success of the Commonwealth Games and it is important we recognise this contribution and that of all the others involved whether it is through contribution or achievement."

Our Council now need anyone who was involved in the Glasgow 2014 Games to get in contact with us.

Whether as an athlete, coach, official, Clydesider or other type of volunteer including ceremony cast, please get in touch.
