  In 2012, Dumfries & Galloway Council saw in the Active Games, the potential to realise a meaningful sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014. Our games are designed to motivate, engage and inspire young people, parents and teachers in the run-up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games and beyond.
