Tourism is a key driver for the region's economy, Dumfries and Galloway Council work in close partnership with Destination Dumfries & Galloway and VistScotland to support the regional tourism.

The council works closely with key partners Destination Dumfries & Galloway and Visitscotland to support the region's tourism industry.

In March 2011 along with our key partners the Regional Tourism Strategy was launched, this strategy and annual action plans will assist to maintain and grow the regions tourism product.

The focus is to not only support the Marketing of the region to tourists and visitors but also to support developing the tourism product within Dumfries and Galloway.

Business and Enterprise, also supports business who may require specific business advice. This support is provided through our tourism officer and through links with Business Gateway and the Creative Clusters Business Advisor, who provides business advice, support and marketing expertise for clusters of business who aim to deliver tourism through a collaborative approach.
