Dumfries and Galloway Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women Partnership (DAVAWP)
1 in 4 women in the UK and 1 in 5 in Scotland will experience domestic abuse from a partner in her lifetime. We say this is too many; no one should suffer domestic abuse.
Violence Against Women is a violation of Human Rights (United Nations 1996). Millions of women all over the world suffer different forms of violence - physical, sexual, psychological and economic - both within and outside their homes.
