Opportunities for pupils in Dumfries and Galloway

Pupils from each school in Dumfries and beyond are able to attend the Bridge during allocated slots for specialist subjects so there is less duplication of resources, greater consistency in teaching and more effective use of teaching time. School tie tables have been coordinated to ensure there is a shared curriculum in the Burgh schools. This allows us to build on existing strengths in the town and create new opportunities for all learners by extending the choice of subjects available and working closer with partners in further and higher education. The facility will have extended opening hours and learning can happen outside traditional school hours.
